In December 2019 our founder at ID Exchange was presenter number #3 at the State of California. Californian Department of Justice Office of the Attorney General witness hearing held in San Francisco regarding the formation of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
At the hearing, ID Exchange tabled its IP holdings and early concept showcasing a bilateral Opt-Out and Opt-In data rights software application built on a privacy-first foundation. The app was designed to reverse the traditional consent narrative, placing individuals, as the true owners of their data, at the center and giving them meaningful, active control over how their personal information is shared and accessed through explicit consent instruments/notices.
Our north star is a commitment to empowering individuals with better, compliant, and more equitable ways to share their data, or derive value from it while materially reducing digital exposures and risk.
ID Exchange's Opt-Out application represents the evolution of this mission and aligns with, and extends, emerging international and U.S. state privacy laws, including California’s DELETE and DROP programs.
